Job Overview: We are seeking a newly qualified professional Graphic Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating creative ideas and design solutions to meet project objectives that inform, captivate and inspire. The ideal candidate must have basic understanding of standard design software, and possess a strong portfolio showcasing their expertise in layout and visual design.
Duties:
- Design a wide range of graphic materials, including school planners, cookbooks, advertising, brochures, and other support collateral
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our brand identity and ensure all designs are aligned with our visual design principles
- Create layouts and designs for various mediums, including print and digital platforms
- Show a strong sense of detail, with diligent effort to avoid typos and file errors
- Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are manufactured to the highest quality
- Stay up-to-date with emerging design trends, digital software tools and technologies
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in an entry-level graphic design or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience as a graphic designer
- A working knowledge of standard design software; InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop
- Proven experience with digital layout and the creation of visually appealing designs
- A solid understanding of typography; fonts, typefaces, and styles that enhance readability, legibility, and visual appeal
- Display precision in your work, with attention to alignment, spacing, color accuracy, and image quality
- A working knowledge of digital media and manipulation of digital artwork and design assets
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
